○前置詞
まず、前置詞の前、前置詞のカタマリの後にスラッシュを入れる練習をしましょう。前置詞を知らない場合は先に前置詞の種類をある程度覚えてからください。
１、 I went to the hospital.
２、 I went to the station with my friends.
３、 I play baseball with my friends at the park on Mondays.
４、 In Japan many people take a bath evey day.
５、 On the second day , her father said to her .
６、 The cat on the table is Paul .
７、 The cute girl with red hair is Ann.
８、 The cat on the table ate two apples in the blue box at the park.
９、 In 2000 , the students at one high school in Japan made a great plan.
１０、 I watched stories of police officers on TV.
１１、 Tom stood by the window.
１２、 During the summer vacation I played with my friends at the park .
☆答え
１、 I went / to the hospital.
一応 toの前に入れましたがgo to → went to でカタマリなので入れなくてもいいです。
２、 I went / to the station / with my friends.
一応 toの前に入れましたが、go to → went toでカタマリなのでいれなくてもいいです。withは前置詞なので入れましょう。
３、 I play baseball / with my friends / at the park / on Mondays.
withとatとonは前置詞なのでその前に入れましょう。
４、 In Japan / many people take a bath / evey day.
In Japanでカタマリなので、その後ろに入れましょう。every dayは入れてもいれなくてもいいです。一応意味が切れているので切ってもいいです。今は前置詞をメインでやっているのでとりあえず、次に行きましょう。
５、 On the second day , / her father said / to her .
On the second dayでカタマリなので、その後ろに入れましょう。カンマがその役割をしていますね。say to → said to でカタマリとして処理してもかまいません。一応入れました。
６、 The cat / on the table / is Paul .
on は前置詞なので前に入れましょう。そして、on the tableでカタマリなので、その後ろにも入れましょう。 is がカタマリを見つけ出すヒントになりますね。The cat is Paulという構造が見えましたか？
主語 (修飾語) 動詞 ・・・
英語の語順は主語→動詞の語順ですが、修飾語が後ろに来ることがあります。後置修飾です。つまり、主語→(主語の説明 / 修飾語) → 動詞 という語順になることが多いのです。６番はこのタイプの問題でした。よって、onから主語の説明が始まると考え、isを見つけた瞬間にその前までが区切りだと判断するということです。
７、 The cute girl / with red hair / is Ann.
withは前置詞なので前に入れましょう。そして、with red hairでカタマリなので、その後ろにも入れましょう。isがカタマリを見つけ出すヒントになりますね。The cute girl is Annという構造が見えましたか？
８、 The cat / on the table / ate two apples / in the blue box / at the park.
onは前置詞なので前に入れましょう。そして、on the tableでカタマリなので、その後ろにも入れましょう。ateがカタマリを見つけ出すヒントになりますね。さらに、inとatも前置詞なのでその前に入れましょう。
９、 In 2000 , / the students / at one high school / in Japan / made a great plan.
In 2000でカタマリなので後ろに入れましょう。カンマがその役割をしていますね。次にatとinは前置詞なので、その前に入れましょう。madeが動詞なのでここまでが区切りと判断できるのでJapanの後ろにも入れましょう。the studens made a great planという構造が見えましたか？
１０、 I watched stories / of police officers / on TV.
of は前置詞なのでその前に入れましょう。しかし、これぐらいなら入れなくても読めるようになりましょう。そして、onが前置詞なので前に入れましょう。
１１、 Tom stood / by the window.
byは前置詞なのでその前に入れましょう。
１２、 During the summer vacation / I played / with my friends / at the park .
During the summer vacationでカタマリなので、その後ろに入れましょう。今までの問題と違ってカンマがありませんが、I を見つけて、ここまでがカタマリだと気づけるようにしましょう。そして、withとatは前置詞なのでその前に入れます。
