○関係詞の省略の前
今回は関係詞の省略の前にスラッシュを入れる練習をしましょう。トレーニングをやる前に一緒に関係詞の省略について勉強しましょう。
関係詞の省略を見つけるポイントは以下の２点になります。
省略できるということは、なくてもわかるから省略できるのです。では、
なぜ省略してもわかるのでしょう。基本的に関係詞が省略できるのは
「目的格」のときだけです。
The man who I met yesterday is Ichiro. → The man I met yesterday is Ichiro.
英語ネイティブの人たちは、英語の語順が体に染み込んでいます。
「主語(名詞)→ 動詞」という語順が当たり前なのです。ですので、「The man」と来た瞬間に次は「動詞」が来ると予想しています。しかし、「Ｉ」が来ています。この時、違和感、つまり、英語の語順と違うと感じるのです。よって、「関係詞の省略」が起こっているとすぐにわかるのです。
では、上記の内容を活かしてトレーニングをしてみてください。
１、 This is the best car I have here.
２、 There are a lot of other things you can do with computer.
３、 There are many items we use in the office.
４、 You should use the technology we have.
５、 The cat I saw there was Tom's.
６， That is the bike they gave me.
７、 Show me the picture you took in London.
８、 I know the park many families visit on Sundays.
９、 The movie I watched yesterday is so exciting.
１０、The cake my mother baked was very good.
１１、Mr,Kenji is a teacher everyone likes.

○関係詞の省略の前
１、 This is the best car / I have here.
the best car と I 、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略です。よって、I の前に入れます。haveの後ろにthe best carが来れますね。
２、 There are a lot of other things / you can do / with computer.
a lot of other things と you、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、youの前に入れます。doの後ろにa lot of other thingsが来れますね。
withは前置詞ですので、その前に入れます。
３、 There are many items / we use / in the office.
many itemsとwe、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、weの前に入れます。useの後ろにmany itemsが来れますね。in は前置詞なので、その前に入れます。
４、 You should use the technology / we have.
the technologyと、we、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、weの前に入れます。haveの後ろにthe technologyが来れますね。
５、 The cat / I saw there / was Tom's.
the catとI、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、I の前に
入れます。sawの後ろにthe catが来れますね。wasがヒントになって、
その前全部が主語なので、wasの前に入れます。
６， That is the bike / they gave me.
the bikeとthey、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、theyの前に入れます。gaveは第４文型。meの後ろにthe bikeが来れますね。
７、 Show me the picture / you took / in London.
the pictureとyou、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、youの前に入れます。tookの後ろにthe pictureが来れますね。そして、inは前置詞なので、その前に入れます。
８、 I know the park / many families visit / on Sundays.
the parkとmany families、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、many familiesの前に入れます。visitの後ろにthe parkが来れますね。そして、onは前置詞なので、その前に入れます。
９、 The movie / I watched yesterday / is so exciting.
the movieとI、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、Iの前に入れます。watchedの後ろにthe movieが来れますね。そして、isがヒントになって、その前全部が主語なので、isの前に入れます。
１０、The cake / my mother baked / was very good.
the cakeとmy mother、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、my motherの前に入れます。bakedの後ろにthe cakeが来れますね。そして、wasがヒントになって、その前全部が主語なので、wasの前に入れます。
１１、Mr,Kenji is a teacher / everyone likes.
a teaherとeveryone、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、everyoneの前に入れます。likesの後ろにa teacherが来れますね。
１２、The boy / my father met / at the park / is Tom.
the boyとmy father、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、my fatherの前に入れます。metの後ろにthe boyが来れますね。atは前置詞なので、その前に入れます。isがヒントになって、その前全部が主語なので、isの前に入れます。
１３、I need the English text book / my sister bought / two years ago.
the English text bookとmy sister、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、my sisterの前に入れます。boughtの後ろにthe English text bookが来れますね。two years agoは意味の区切りなので一応入れました。
１４、My teacher showed the students the poster / she found / on the internet.
the students とthe posterで名詞が２つ並んでいますがこれはshowが第４文型だからです。the posterとshe、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、sheの前に入れます。foundの後ろにthe posterが来れますね。onは前置詞なので、その前に入れます。
１５、I gave the girl the book / I bought last year.
the girlとthe bookで名詞が２つ並んでいますが、これはgiveが第４文型だからです。the bookとI、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、Iの前に入れます。boughtの後ろにthe bookが来れますね。
１６、You must do everything / the king tell you.
everythingとthe king、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、the kingの前に入れます。tellは第４文型。youの後ろにeverythingが来れますね。
１７、I think / the Japanse text book / they saw / at the shop / will give you a lot of
imformation / you have to know / to get better score / in the next exam.
think the Japanese text bookとなっているので、たぶんthat節の省略。よって、thinkの後ろに入れます。the Japanese text bookとthey、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、theyの前に入れます。sawの後ろにthe japanese text bookが来れますね。atは前置詞なので、その前に入れます。will giveと来るのでここでthinkはthat節の省略だと確信します。また、will giveをヒントに、その前のthe Japanese～ the shopのところがthat節内の主語だとわかる。よって、will giveの前に入れる。giveは第４文型なので、youとa lot of imformationは大丈夫です。a lot of imformationとyou、名詞が２つ来ているので関係詞の省略。よって、youの前に入れます。knowの後ろにa lot of imformationが来れますね。to getはto不定詞なので、その前に入れます。inは前置詞なので、その前に入れます。
